Fun for all the family,
all year long
Enjoy a family day out across the Blenheim Palace estate this autumn. Wander through the Marlborough Maze, discover the Butterfly House in the Walled Garden, and let the children loose on Adventure Play. Beyond the gardens, the wider Parkland and Estate offer miles of paths to explore as the season turns. There is always somewhere new to wander at Blenheim Palace.
With so much to discover, our Palace & Play Pass helps you make the most of every visit. It unlocks unlimited access for a whole year to the Palace, Park and Gardens, as well as Adventure Play, so you can return again and again throughout the seasons. With a calendar full of exciting events, from our Jousting Tournament to school holiday activities, you'll never run out of things to do.
More family fun to enjoy
Spark their imaginations at
Adventure Play
Discover Blenheim Palace Adventure Play, where a hidden world of endless fun awaits just beyond the garden wall! With a huge range of exciting play zones to choose from, the hardest decision of the day will be where to head to first. Will it be the splashtastic Winding River complete with mini bridges, pumps, stepping stones and sluice gates? Or perhaps the Secret Garden with its giant carrots to climb and sunflowers to scale? With so many places to play for children and adults alike, the whole family will have their imaginations captured on every visit.
Explore the Gardens
As well as our Walled Garden, there are plenty of other areas of the Gardens to discover. Why not see which plants and flowers you can spot during your visit? Enjoy the sunshine and perhaps a picnic on the South Lawn, find your favourite tree in the Arboretum or play a game of Poohsticks down at the Cascades bridge. Become a nature detective and look amongst the trees and flowers for birds and butterflies (we keep much of the grass in the Gardens unmown to encourage biodiversity and wildflower growth), and under logs and bark in shady areas for woodlice, beetles and millepedes.
Venture out on the Estate
Get back to nature and out for a rambling family walk on the Estate, which has no shortage of natural beauty to discover. It is home to a wide range of wildlife including deer, otters, water voles and bats as well as birds such as red kites, herons and owls - there is even a Blenheim species of honeybee. Venture down the path through the High Park woodland, which has the largest collection of ancient oaks in Europe, and listen out for what birdsong and wildlife you can hear.
Discover the history of the Palace
Head to the Palace - home to the Dukes of Marlborough since 1705 and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill - and discover its incredible 300 year history. Step inside to explore our magnificent State Rooms, discover treasures gathered across the centuries, and enjoy our permanent exhibitions, such as Life Below Stairs, The Churchill Exhibition, the Stables Exhibition and The Blenheim Story Exhibition.
