Counteract the winter blues with the natural mood-lifting antidote of a walk in the parkland.
- March 2023
The award recognises our provision of an inclusive experience for all, with routes and ramps designed around the Palace, Park, and Gardens, as well as our new Adventure Play area which was created with accessibility in mind. The Blue Badge Access Awards champion and celebrate exceptional venues, organisations and people that go above and beyond to welcome everyone.
“At Blenheim Palace, we firmly believe that all visitors deserve an opportunity to explore and immerse themselves in our colourful history and the vast beauty that we have to offer, whether this is a visit to one of our exhibitions inside the Palace or enjoying the beautiful park and gardens.”
“Over the years, we’ve worked meticulously to enhance our accessibility features, ensuring that every visitor, regardless of their abilities, can experience all aspects of Blenheim Palace, so it’s an honour for that to be recognised, and we’re excited for further developments and what the future holds.”
Taking into account all aspects of disabilities including mobility, hearing and vision impairments, those with companion tickets for Blue Badge holders are admitted for free, and assistance or support dogs are welcome.
We intend to use this award as a beacon of inclusivity and encourage other venues to follow suit to create an exceptional experience for all to enjoy.
