Works on display will include America, a solid 18-Karat gold toilet which will be installed inside the Palace, adjacent to Sir Winston Churchill’s birth room, for the duration of the exhibition. As a functional artwork, visitors will be invited to use it during their visit. Further artworks will be announced nearer the opening time. There is a step up to the loo with limited accessibility.
Lord Edward Spencer-Churchill, Founder of Blenheim Art Foundation said
‘Maurizio Cattelan is one of the most singular and daring artists working today. We are delighted to welcome his work at Blenheim in the expectation that it will stimulate debate, conversation and expand our minds.’
Please be aware that some of the artworks reference sensitive subjects which some visitors may find challenging.
