Explore the Heritage Learning Lab, opening on the 18th of January. Here, you will discover the different techniques that underpin our restoration work and how the site of Blenheim Palace was built over 200 years.

Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a budding craftsman, or simply curious about the intricate work that goes into restoration, the lab is full of fascinating information.

Get stuck in and see the restoration in action with demonstration days taking place throughout the year. These will reveal the vital processes of stonemasonry, joinery and gilding that have preserved the Palace for centuries.

2025 Demonstration Schedule

Monday 26th May	Faux Marbling Demonstration and Talk. On Monday 26th May, join Simon Nobs for a Traditional Faux Marbling Workshop in our Heritage Learning Lab. Simon will lead three, one hour sessions at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00, each limited to 10 - 12 participants. To sign up on the day just add your name to the list outside the Learning Lab in the morning. Thursday 29 May	Stone carving Demonstration On Thursday 29th May, master stonemason Simon Keeley will be working live in the Stonemasonry area.
