The Duke's Tour

A unique look at 21st-century life in an 18th-century Palace.

The Duke's tour explores the Palace's Private Apartments which have hosted many Duke's, Duchesses and opulent guests, as well as the downstairs kitchens and household quarters that are still used by the butler today.

Upstairs, you’ll explore the bedrooms used by the Marlborough family for over 300 years, from the time of The First Duke until today. The rooms have provided luxurious lodgings for everyone from Royalty to Hollywood stars, and are packed with treasures and hung with priceless paintings.

Downstairs, you’ll discover how the household staff worked to keep the Palace running, overhear staff gossip, and learn about some of the more unusual perks of working in a Palace.
