Planning your visit:
When arriving at the Palace, a member of our visitor experience team will be on hand to welcome you and answer any questions you may have.
Blue Badge Guides are welcome to guide throughout our Parkland and Formal Gardens and a visitor map is also on hand to show the many different routes available to explore. Enjoy 2000 acres of beautiful ‘Capability Brown’ landscaped Parkland, with inspiring views, monuments, and a rich variety of wildlife. Relax in the beautiful Formal Gardens, including the Water Terraces, Rose Garden and Churchill Memorial Garden. Visit the Temple of Diana– the romantic spot where Churchill proposed to his beloved Clementine Hozier.
No guiding is permitted inside the Palace due to space restrictions, however guides are allowed to accompany and escort their group through the 11 Palace State Rooms.
At the touch of a button visitors can delve deeper into the history, stories, and treasures of the Palace’s past. Download our onsite guide to your personal device using our free WI-FI. This gives access to the Palace and Garden Tours, in 9 languages and a whole lot more to enhance your visit. Languages available: English, English BSL, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin, Japanese & Russian.
For those Groups who prefer to experience a more personal touch, we offer a private guided tour of the State Rooms with one of our expert Palace Guides. Prices start from £150 per guide per group of 30 people. The tour is available at set times of the day and pre-booking through our Group Sales Team is essential. All private tours are subject to availability. We offer the following languages for our private guided tours: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin, Japanese.
Accessible Pathways
At Blenheim we are committed to providing an accessible attraction, and we strive to ensure that visitors with disabilities can enjoy as much of our magnificent World Heritage Site as possible. Therefore, we have implemented more accessible pathways around Blenheim Palace to ensure all can experience and enjoy their time here. We have onsite buggies which you can hop on and hop off to help you reach certainparts of our grounds; wheelchairs can be booked in advance.

Blenheim Palace is open throughout the year however, there will be times when we need to close the Palace and Gardens. Our Groups Visit Team will do their best to advise you as early as we can and work with you to make alternative arrangements to your visit. Several of our events including ‘Christmas at Blenheim’ are operated through a separate company which will incur a different way of booking and prices vary. Blenheim offers free admission for one group leader for all groups of 15+ paying guests. Free admission voucher for commercial coach drivers plus a £5 voucher for them to use in our onsite cafés. Free all day coach parking. Group catering options available – prebooking and prepayment essential.

From after dinner etiquette to secret corridors, gain an insight into the routine of visitors both past and present, including Charlie Chaplin, Bill Clinton and Sylvester Stallone.
Maybe you prefer a glimpse in the lives of Palace staff over the centuries, wander through the network of corridors, see the iconic bell system and hear a few bits of gossip and perks of the job from the staff’s point of view.
