The Palace

Listen to an audio tour of some of our most magnificent rooms and artefacts, hearing from experts on their fascinating history by downloading our onsite app at blenheimpalace.com/app - don't forget to bring your headphones!

The Palace is operating on a limited capacity and we would ask that within an hour of your pre-booked arrival time you visit the Palace.

To ensure we can up-hold social distancing measures, we will not be able to open the Untold Story or Churchill Exhibition for the foreseeable future. However, you will be able to walk through Churchill’s Birth Room and see some new portraits and historical content on display for you to discover and enjoy along the way.

Home to the 12th Duke of Marlborough and his family and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site boasting a long and diverse history. Blenheim Palace was built as a gift to John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough, from Queen Anne and a grateful nation in thanks for his victory at the Battle of Blenheim on 13th August 1704.
