The Palace roofline and courtyard from above in warm evening light, with ornate stone towers
Architectural drawing of the Palace's columned portico beside a scaffolded wing

The West Quadrant

Project Cost: £285,000

This project is to carry out complete stone repairs to the entire west quadrant of the front of the Palace.

The stone is damaged and will be replaced where practical. The damage has been caused by iron cramps, which were used to secure the stone when originally constructed, these will be replaced with practical high-grade steel.

While the impact of this project will be kept to a minimum, the site will be scaffolded and there may be noise at times.
