Virtual Talks and Tours

We are offering a regular series of talks where our Palace historian Antonia Keaney will be speaking to a number of special guests on different subjects.

These live specialist talks and interviews offer a unique opportunity to hear behind the scenes stories about the Palace and its people. Each session will run for 45 minutes to 1 hour and subscribers are invited to ask questions during the event via the on-line Q&A facility, or to submit questions in advance - up to midday on the day of the event. Ticket price £5.

We will also be screening recordings of our popular summer series of talks and interviews with a live introduction from Antonia and answering any questions you may have at the end. These are clearly marked as recordings below and there will be no charge, but you will need to register your interest to receive the link. Free

(Recording) The Sphinx with Hugo Vickers

Hugo Vickers is a well-known writer, broadcaster and journalist. As a 16 year old, Hugo became fascinated with Gladys Deacon, the mysterious second wife of the Ninth Duke of Marlborough; he tracked her down to a psychogeriatric ward of a mental hospital and visited her for two years, until her death at the age of 96. They formed a friendship that led to his writing her biography – an event which changed the course of his life.
