Try out a new dog walk with our brand new Dogs of Blenheim Palace trail. Featuring Bobby the Blenheim Spaniel and plenty of other tail-wagging visitors along the way, discover stories of dogs at Blenheim Palace over the centuries - from the many Blenheim Spaniels that once lived in the Palace and the sheepdogs working on the Estate to the dogs depicted in tapestries, paintings and even Christmas cards.
The trail starts in the East Courtyard by the Oxfordshire Pantry (why not grab a bite to eat and a hot drink before you start?) and takes you over the Grand Bridge, along the lakeside and towards the Column of Victory before looping back to the Flagstaff Gate main entrance. Download the trail map below and follow the pawprints to complete the route, which takes approximately half an hour.
Please always keep your dog on a lead whilst visiting, for the safety of wildlife and livestock in the Park. Our pregnant ewes can become easily distressed if they are chased or if they feel threatened by dogs, and potentially miscarry or die. Keeping your dog on a lead and under control creates a safe and respectful environment for everyone. Find out more about dogs at Blenheim Palace, including dog-friendly areas, below.
