Annual Heritage Education Awards

Every year, Blenheim Palace welcomes around 30,000 school pupils and students on educational trips. Groups study a variety of fun, educational programmes in the Palace, Park and Formal Gardens – then return to school to carry out related follow-up work.

We are always delighted when groups share their follow-up work with us, and we try to display as much of it as possible in the Palace Education Room.

The work we receive is always wonderfully varied, produced to a very high standard and deserving of recognition. At the end of each year, Her Grace The Duchess of Marlborough reviews the work on display in the Education Room and chooses a number of individual and group prize winners. During the following spring, the Annual Heritage Education Awards take place here at Blenheim Palace, and all winners are given certificates, receive prizes, and best of all, have a splendid afternoon tea with the Duchess.

"I really enjoyed learning more about the history of the Palace and the afternoon tea was delicious! I am very proud to have received an award for my project and was delighted to have met Her Grace The Duchess of Marlborough." - Prize winner from Lady Barn House School
