February Half Term activities: fun things to do with your family at Blenheim Palace

As February Half Term approaches, we know you'll be on the lookout for ways to keep everyone entertained and make the most of the school break. We've curated a list of crowd-pleasing activities for you to enjoy. Here are 10 of our top picks...

 

1. All aboard Winston the Miniature Train!

Start your Half Term adventure at Blenheim Palace by catching our Miniature train down to the Walled Garden and Adventure Play. See what wildlife you can spot during your ride...birds, squirrels and ducks all enjoy playing in the parkland.

2. Enjoy the excitement in our Adventure Play

Big and little explorers will have the best time discovering, playing, climbing, sliding, jumping, whizzing and splashing in our Adventure Play.

With tunnels, bridges, slides, zip-lines, hidden chambersand more, you and your children can have fun together and make some fantastic memories.

3. Explore the Wider Parks & Gardens with Passport to Play!

Enjoy a fun-filled journey throughout Adventure Play and into the Estate. Experience new activities that will spark creativity and imagination, collecting stamps along the way. Explore the Boat House, Rose Garden, Bladon Bridge, and more to complete activities and upon completion of the Passport to Play, you will receive a badge.

 

4. Wind your way through the Marlborough Maze

Spend some time getting lost and playing hide and seek with your friends and family in the two-mile Marlborough Maze.

Enjoy some friendly competition as you race to see who can find their way out fastest!

5.  Garden talks and woodland crafts

To make your day out with us extra special, we've jam-packed it with extra engaging activities that the kids will love!

In our Walled Garden, meet the real sheep of Blenheim every day of the half-term or join us for our garden talks. Get crafty with our leaf crafts or by making a birdseed ball to take home.

6. Search for the Marlborough Mice within the Palace

If the weather is looking unpredictable, why not head into the Palace? There is lots to see and you might learn something new. Inside, you can also search the magnificent state rooms for the mischievous, hiding Marlborough Mice. Will you find them all?

7. The sheep Trail

Lavender the sheep's babies have gone missing! Her mischievous lambs have gone for a walk around the Walled Garden, help her find them and collect a prize.

8. Say hello to some of our friendly Blenheim sheep

During our fun-filled February Half Term week, you will have the opportunity to meet some of our Blenheim sheep and find out how they are cared for on our estate. 

9. Burn off steam with a walk 

Our parkland is vast and beautiful and can be enjoyed all year round. With a variety of walks and routes on offer, you can explore beyond the Palace and Gardens at your own pace.

10. Warm up with a hot chocolate in one of our cafés
