Transforming our Work Environment

We have launched a new ‘academy’ which aims to transform the way our staff work.

We are excited to be embarking on a hugely ambitious ten year development programme which will affect every aspect of the Estate. A key part of that programme will be the training and development of both existing and new members of staff across the Estate’s many different businesses.

At the moment we employ in excess of 350 people throughout the year as part of our leisure, commercial, forestry, game, property and rural businesses.

In order to provide the best working environment for staff we have started the Marlborough Academy, providing a series of workshops which are open to everyone on the Estate.

“The workshops cover a huge range of topics from marketing and accounting skills to mental health, nutrition, yoga and even learning Chinese. Our aim is to build a really strong team of people at Blenheim Palace and to truly appreciate and develop their skills. We are fully committed to developing our people, providing them with the skills and support they need to perform to outstanding levels, and most importantly, to enjoy their jobs and grow in their careers,” - Sarah Morris, Head of Human Resources at Blenheim Palace

The Academy is part of a series of new initiatives which have been developed by the HR team aimed at addressing key staffing issues in the modern workplace.

All staff receive free breakfast every Friday morning, a minimum of 10 hours relevant training annually, childcare vouchers, shop and restaurant discounts, family entry to Blenheim Palace, free Christmas trees and enrolment in the Marlborough Academy.
