One of our ten-year goals is to deliver 300 high quality, truly affordable homes of which communities can be truly proud of.
We are redefining the definition of affordable housing with West Oxfordshire District Council. This will be of huge benefit to the people of the local area, as we aim to retain ownership and to offer housing more directly able to meet local needs as they change from time to time, while also ensuring that those units always stay within the affordable housing pool. The overriding intention of the project is to deliver truly affordable housing with discounts of a much greater size than available today elsewhere.
Shared Ownership offers you the chance to buy a 40% to 80% share of a property, with a combined monthly cost of rent and mortgage, less than if you bought on the open market.
For example, if you wanted to buy a 40% share in a property worth £300,000 the equity you would pay rent on is £180,000 at 2.5%, equating to £375 per month.
