We asked Oxford Brookes Business School to assist us in capturing where we are today in terms of our economic impact within and outside of the Estate, in order for us to begin to measure our success in achieving our goals.

  • 1,935 jobs are supported by Blenheim
  • £13.1m GVA is the direct economic contribution made by Blenheim
  • 335 staff are directly employed by Blenheim
  • 600,000 paying visitors come to Blenheim, many of whom also spend time and money in local areas
  • Our visitors contribute £41.2m GVA to the local economy
  • We employ 7 apprentices
  • Blenheim directly spends £16.9m with UK suppliers
  • 36% of our supplier spend is within a 20-mile radius of Blenheim Palace
  • £14.2m GVA is the total economic impact generated by Blenheim partner, including our in-house caterers Searcys, and our event partners
  • 237 staff are directly employed by Searcys
  • At Blenheim we have enabled charitable donations to be raised to a total of £1.6m
