Vertical Farm Operations Lead

Are you passionate about sustainability and innovation within Forestry? Blenheim Palace, is hiring a full-time, on-site Vertical Farm Operations Lead to join our Forestry team in partnership with AHE. You’ll oversee the daily operations of our Vertical Farming R&D facility, supporting the Forest Factory project—an innovative effort combining micropropagation, vertical farming, and biochar to produce resilient native tree saplings. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with scientists and land managers to drive forest sustainability across the UK. As the Vertical Farm Operations Lead you will prepare and plant seeds, take measurements from saplings before and after planting, liaise with AHE team members and much more!

What we are looking for:

• Must hold a full UK driving license
• Organised and detail orientated, someone who can plan and organise tasks and work well on their own
• Ability to pick up and learn new software/programs and use Microsoft Office Suite  
• Good interpersonal skills and resourcefulness 
• A conscientious team player with a ability to handle detail 
• Experience in biology, biotechnology, horticulture or similar would be beneficial but not required
• Experience with biodiversity initiatives, sustainability efforts or vertical farms also a plus
