Wildlife News: OneOak project

Paul Orsi, Rural Enterprises Manager at Blenheim Palace and Gabriel Hemery, Chief Executive of the Sylva Foundation, stand on the stump of the OneOak and discuss replanting which is planned to take place in February 2011.  The OneOak was felled in January 2010 as part of a project to illustrate the benefits woodland management and of using timber from home grown sustainably managed sources.  The felling of the OneOak was watched by over 200 children and these children are due to come back in February to replant the site – with oak!  To find out more about the OneOak Project visit http://www.sylva.org.uk/oneoak/
