  • Seasonal Weekend Retail Sales Assistants

    Our East Courtyard and Garden shops offer high quality, exclusive products, with a brand that has been purchased by members of royalty and aristocracy alike.

    We currently have exciting opportunities for seasonal weekend Retail Sales Assistants to join our busy team.

    As the face of our business, you will put the customer at the heart of everything you do, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and delivering a world-class shopping experience, every time.

    Main responsibilities:

    • Act as an ambassador for Blenheim Palace and our retail offering.
    • Develop excellent product knowledge, which will enable you to pass this information to the customers.
    • Deliver exemplary standards of presentation and merchandising of our products.
    • Understand daily, weekly and monthly store targets.

    Personal requirements:

    • Smart appearance with a friendly and approachable manner
    • Have a flexible approach to working hours, which will include weekends and Bank Holidays - evening work will also be required during the Christmas period
    • High customer service awareness
    • A positive and 'can-do' attitude
    • Good standard of numerical skills
    • Able to work as part of a team

    Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial, however not essential as full training will be provided. In return, we offer generous staff discounts, free parking and an hourly rate of £7.20 per hour.

  • Part Time Quantity Surveyor/Site Administrator

    An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy team as a Quantity Surveyor and Site Administrator.

    Working closely with the Construction Manager, you will provide day to day administrative support across all construction sites, including the efficient and cost effective procurement of materials for a department that has delivered nearly 200 residential units and 7,000sqm of commercial space over the last 10 years.

    The successful candidate will have considerable experience working within the local construction industry, and have the ability to develop excellent relationships with our internal and external clients.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Day to day administration of construction sites
    • Responsible for the preparation of contractor tender packages and ensuring their timely return
    • Analysis of external tender packages from contractors for presentation to the Construction Manager
    • Responsible for the procurement of materials efficiently and cost effectively for construction projects
    • Apply for utility connections in a timely manner
    • Follow up all required project administration in line with construction project deadlines
    • Liaise with the Property Manager and Construction Manager to produce plans for all legal agreements and obtain consents
    • Liaise with relevant authorities to apply for permissions, such as the Highway Agency and utility companies
    • Approve applications for payment
    • Build relationships with internal and external clients
    • Develop a local construction network 
    • Build on knowledge of the local construction industry

    Ideal Candidate:

    • A strong personality
    • Ability to demonstrate effective deliveries through a diverse supply chain
    • A knowledge of construction and building contract law
    • Focused and goal orientated
    • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
    • Innovative approach and ability to think outside the box
    • Team player
    • Positive

    Previous experience in the residential construction industry as well as practical experience of the general operations of a construction site is required for this role. In addition, you must have an understanding of site health and safety and the CDM process and understand the process required to initiate and complete legal agreements.
