Courtyard Capers

Courtyard Capers

This trail encourages you to explore the East Courtyard, Great Court, the Chapel and the Water Terraces. With a series of facts to read and questions to answer, younger visitors will learn lots about the history and design of the Palace.

I-Spy Architecture

This trail looks in detail at the Palace itself, encouraging students and families to identify its features. Read stories from the Palace's past and keep an eye out for the different characteristics of the architecture.

This trail allows students and families to explore the history of the grounds surrounding the Palace. Enjoy your magnificent surroundings whilst identifying particular features of monuments and learning about the Parkland.

Geography

Geography

Have a walk around the Parkland to test your geographical skills and knowledge. Take your class or family on this trail and learn about mapping, navigation and physical geography, and how to identify features of the landscape.

Portraits

Portraits

This trail gives a deep insight into some of the portraits in the Blenheim Palace Collection. It also teaches students and families how to identify particular features of the paintings and learn what they tell us about both the painters and the sitters.

Designed for primary schools, this trail takes students on a journey of discovery through the Secret Garden, with lots of fun activities and questions to answer.

Garden Detectives: The Pleasure Gardens

Garden Detectives: The Pleasure Gardens

This trail takes place in the Pleasure Gardens, our family-focused area. Children can follow the trail while exploring the Lavender Garden, Blenheim Bygones Exhibition and main lawns, then spend the remainder of their visit in the adventure playground or the Marlborough Hedge Maze!

Garden Detectives: The Water Terraces

This trail allows our younger visitors to explore The Water Terraces and identify shapes and patterns in the architecture, as well as learning about their history.

The Tree Trail

The Tree Trail

Take your class or family on this trail to discover more about the trees in the Parkland. With plenty of exercises encouraging children to identify characteristics of the trees, they will love exploring more about their surroundings.

Tree Detectives: Noises Amongst the Trees

This activity is great for Primary and Pre-School children and is based in the Park.It encourages children to use their sense of hearing and describe and identify various sounds on their visit.
