The Secret Garden
Formerly a private garden of the 10th Duke, the present Duke’s father, this beautiful garden fell into disuse for many years. It has now been restored to its former glory, and with each passing year this delightful area becomes more beautiful and mature
The Secret Garden offers a unique opportunity for the study of science in tree and plant life as well as providing inspiration for all types of creative work. It is a fascinating mixture of light, dark and space, with a wealth of shapes and textures - leaves, bushes and trees, rocky shapes and formations, pool and water features. The air is filled with the sound of cascade rivulets of clear water and birdsong to stimiluate the imagination.
